ARBORETUM TROMPENBURG (BOTANICAL GARDEN).

This garden is one of the nineteen in the Netherlands. The botanical garden is an oasis of tranquility in the constant hustle and bustle of Rotterdam. The site is approximately One hectare in size and was recently added on the eastern side. The middle of the arboretum is the oldest and was laid out in 1820 in an English landscape style which then was very fashionable.

ASKLEPION

Asklepion which will be opening at the end of 2000 promises to be the national theme attraction for people from 6-80 years of age. The site wil be a voyage of discovery through the human body by means of exhilarating experiences, interactive exhibits, multimedia attractions and entertaining information. DE PELGRIM

THE OCEANIUM

The Oceanium is due to open in the course of 2000. You can take a magical trip through this water continent starting in Scotland, at the Bass Rock bird island. You can take a face to face walk through a wide range of North sea inhabitants like ground Sharks and Jellyfish. One of the best attractions is the 25 metre long shark tunnel where different sharks stolidly swim by, leaving you literally surrounded by these mysterious hunters of the world seas. Theres also lots lots more to see.

PANNENKOEKENBOOT (floating pancake restaurant)

Sailing while enjoying all the pancakes you can eat!                           

You can experience the only floating pancake restaurant as soon as the Boot lifts Anchor. The buffet is bursting with all different types and flavours of Pancakes including: AU naturel, Apple or bacon pancakes along with every imagionable topping, including Cheese,Ham,Fruit,,Syrups,Powdered sugar and much,much more. Every Saturday evening there is a three-hour harbour sightseeing cruise, called the Pancake Cruise.

If you want to visit more of the modern architecture, then vist the Cube HousesCubhouses3.jpg (28758 bytes) If you wish to visit these, there is a charge of         f  3.50 to look around the show house. The houses are located near to the Metro station Blaak. When you get there, you will be puzzeled about how a person can live in one of these houses. But you will out how they do in the show house.

You could also visit the Euromast, because from here you get to see all the city in a panoramic view of the hole of Rotterdam. You can see all the modern architectural buildings, bridges and places of interest from the viewing platform that is 112 meters high.  Then take the Space Adventure to an incredable hight of 185 meters. Here the capsulel you are in rotetes slowly, allowing you to see further then before.
